Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre is an internationally active, multilingual VET school with flexible schemes for lifelong learning. We are open to cooperation both at international and local level, implementing projects as a coordinator and participating as a partner in projects.

Ida-Virumaa VET Centre has implemented a huge number of projects under various European Union programs (Leonardo da Vinci, Interreg, Comenius, Grundtvig, Erasmus +, etc.) and has a team of experienced project managers, which provides a solid basis for project work.

Nordplus: Sustainable Development in Entrepreneurship

Nordplus: Sustainable Development in Entrepreneurship

Project period 08.2022 – 07.2024

Coordinating institution: North Karelia Municipal Education and Training Consortium, Finland

Partners: Ida-Virumaa Vocational Education Centre, Estonia and Siauliai Vocational Education and Training Centre, Lithuania

The aim of the project is to develop new entrepreneurship and innovative tools and simulation models considering sustainable development in products and services. The project will be an opportunity for students to use creativity and innovation through team workshops and come up with new solutions, develop new ideas and search for processes on how to start a business in the partner countries, collect information and compare the systems that support the entrepreneurship of young professionals. COVID crisis exit strategy ideas and solutions will also be considered in the workshops. The students will be given also the opportunity and receive sufficient guidance on how to start a real company and all to be a part of workshop on innovation in the classroom, allowing them to get experience with the innovative competences.

Activities are the six class exchange meetings that will take place in the partner countries in the period 2022-2024. During the entire project every partner will host one class exchange and send twice. For every exchange all partners will include six students and two teachers per activity.

Every host partner will have an active class or groups of students who are involved in the project. All products and outcomes will be presented during the visit week to the rest of the students in the college. The project will have a website or a Facebook page where all the results and activities will be disseminated. Most of the material will be prepared electronically and available to the participants. Every activity will be documented by means of list of participants and evaluation questionnaires. The European eTwinning platform and Twinspace will be used where also the students will be given access to generate and modify the contents.
